On 10 June 2025, an exceptionally important panel discussion titled “Lp(a) and Cardiovascular Health – Uncovering the Hidden Threat” was successfully held at the premises of the Library of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb.
The event was organized by the Croatian Society for Hypertension, the Croatian Atherosclerosis Society, and the Croatian Cardiac Society with the aim of raising awareness about lipoprotein(a) – a frequently overlooked, hereditary risk factor that has a significant impact on cardiovascular health.
Leading Croatian experts delivered their professional presentations at the event: Academician Davor Miličić, Academician Željko Reiner, Academician Bojan Jelaković, Professor Viktor Peršić, MD, PhD, Associate Professor Ivan [surname], MD, PhD, and Mr. Kristijan Zulle, who shared his personal testimony as a patient with elevated Lp(a) levels.
